Here’s a little B12 shot of indie goodness from my friend Sneadles out in LA LA LAnd.  To be honest I’ve always been wary of 7″ inch comps.  They’re little, get easily lost behind my dressers, and aren’t equivalent in size to a hunger-quenching pizza.  That’s just how my brain works.  Well today the discriminating circuitry hotwired in my brain has been rerouted.

This is the perfect little disc to throw on to get yourself ready to battle the mist from one of  Cincinnati’s seemingly endless overcast summer days–I actually think the clouds parted when I put this on.  Yes, there is definitely a ray or two out there.  It makes me feel justified throwing on jorts and walking by my lonesome through the war-torn visage that blankets this college town.  Not even the abandoned jungle strip between McMillan and Calhoun can keep me down after this little indie jaunt.

But seriously, this is a great little disc.  I don’t know if it’s just me but indie cuts lately have taken a turn toward the so-hip-it-hurts territory and this disc reaffirmed my faith that yes, the genre can still be fun and avoid smacking you in the face with a messenger bag full of hipster blah blah.  Think carnival food with this 7″–cotton candy, deep-fried Snickers, and funnel cake for your ears. Nom nom.

Peep it here!
